YANGON, Aug.29 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar will hold sports competitions in four big cities in the country next month aimed at improving country's sports standard, sports circle said Friday.
Scheduled to take place from Sept.1 to 26, sports events such as shooting, hockey, sepaktakraw, cycling, track and field, football, billiards and snooker, petanque and tennis will take place in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, Mandalay and Sagaing.
Outstanding players will be chosen from the competitions.
Such competitions will be held in more states and regions for the development of Myanmar sports.
