GAZA, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- Islamic Hamas movement said on Sunday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has only achieved a failure in his large-scale offensive that has been waged in the Gaza Strip since July 8.
"Netanyahu failed in this battle and the looser has no chance to dictate or impose any pre-conditions. Our people will not yield to the Israeli stupidity," said Sami Abu Zuhri, Hamas spokesman in Gaza, in a text message.
He added that Netanyahu's statements on continuing the offensive on the Gaza Strip will "make him fully responsible for the failure of the talks in Cairo and will make him responsible for the coming consequences."
The Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip went on, where Israeli war jets kept striking on houses allover the coastal enclave. According to medics, five Palestinians were killed during Sunday's airstrikes, including two children.
Meanwhile, militants groups kept firing rockets from the coastal enclave into southern Israel. Minor groups claimed responsibility for the rockets attacks, like Islamic Jihad and Popular Resistance Committees. Hamas militants didn't fire any rocket since the start of the 72-hour cease-fire.
