NEW DELHI, July 25 (Xinhua) -- India has lodged in Islamabad a strong diplomatic protest against the adjournments of the ongoing Mumbai terror attacks trial in Pakistan and also summoned a top Pakistani diplomat in the national capital over the same, highly placed sources said Friday.
While a high-ranking diplomat from the Indian High Commission in Islamabad lodged the complaint with the Foreign Ministry in Pakistan, the Indian External Affairs Ministry summoned the Pakistani Deputy High Commissioner in the national capital over the same, the sources said.
The diplomatic protests were lodged ahead of the Foreign Secretary-level talks between the two countries next month.
More than 170 people were killed by 10 Pakistani militants in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. While India alleges Pakistan's involvement in the massacre, Islamabad denies its role.
