MOSCOW, July 15 (Xinhua) -- At least four people were killed and 95 more injured as a metro train derailed in Moscow during the morning rush hour on Tuesday, the capital's health department said.
"Currently, 95 people applied for medical assistance," the department's head Georgy Golukhov told Interfax news agency.
Fifty-five people in serious condition were lifted to hospitals by eight helicopters, spokesman for the Emergency Situations Ministry Alexander Drobyshevsky told Interfax.
The number of casualties might rise, he said, adding that about 200 passengers have been evacuated from the Slavyanski Bulvar and Park Pobedy, the deepest metro stations in Moscow.
The train derailed during an emergency breaking in an underground tunnel in western Moscow between those stations.
