OSAKA, July 7 (Xinhua) -- A total of 11 people were injured Monday in a collision involving a bus and two trucks on an expressway in Kagawa Prefecture in western Japan, local press reported.
The accident occurred at around 9:50 a.m. local time when an express bus with 11 passengers on board collided head-on with a two-ton truck near Sanuki Interchange on the Takamatsu Expressway.
Following the crash, the bus was also collided by a four-ton truck which was running in the back of the bus. The collision left the bus driver and 9 passengers and the driver of the two-ton truck injured.
Kagawa Prefectural Police said it was raining when the accident happened, adding that the truck protruded to the opposite lane and caused the collision.
