HONG KONG, June 14 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale jolted 35 km north of Finschhafen, Papua New Guinea at 06:59:42 Hong Kong Time Saturday (22:59:42 GMT Friday), the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 67.96 km, was initially determined to be at 6.2861 degrees south latitude and 147.8279 degrees east longitude.
