BANGKOK, June 10 (Xinhua) -- Thailand's military-run National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) on Tuesday night lifted its curfew completely in 17 provinces and partially in three other provinces.

But the curfew from midnight to 4 a.m. remains in place in capital Bangkok, according to an NCPO announcement.

The revocation applied to provinces of Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Rayong, Chantaburi, Nakhon Phanom, Sakon Nakhon, Roi Et, Loei, Surin, Tak, Sukhothai, Mae Hong Son, Uttaradit, Phrae, Nan, Trang and Satun, as well as certain districts in provinces of Songkhla, Phetchaburi and Trat.

The NCPO earlier also revoked the curfew in 10 tourist destinations like Pattaya, Phuket and Koh Samui to allay the negative impact on the tourist sector.
