MEXICO CITY, June 8 (Xinhua) -- Eight bodies, partly burned, were found in a mass grave in Mexico's western state of Jalisco, the attorney general of the state said Sunday.
The bodies of seven men and one woman were found Saturday night in an old train station in a town called Encarnacion de Diaz, the attorney general said in a statement.
The eight bodies reportedly belonged to people who had been abducted by a criminal group. They were among 18 people reported missing between May 30 and June 5.
The finding came after investigation of three alleged drug traffickers over the weekend. The suspects confessed they had murdered more than 10 people in the states of Zacatecas, San Luis Potosi and Aguascalientes.
The attorney general of Jalisco said that search will continue in Los Altos, Jalisco, and that more bodies might be found in the next few days.
