SAN FRANCISCO, June 5 (Xinhua) -- One person was shot dead and three others wounded Thursday on a university campus in Seattle, and a suspect was in custody, local media reported.
The Seattle Fire Department said on its Twitter account that four gunshot victims were taken to hospital. A man and a woman had "life-threatening injuries" and other two men were in stable condition.
A spokeswoman of the Harborview Medical Center told local KIRO 7 television later that a critically-wounded male victim died in the hospital.
According to the police, a Seattle Pacific University student disarmed a lone gunman, who shot in a building at the university with over 4,200 students.
The shooting came after Elliot Rodger, a 22-year-old student, killed six and injured seven people before turning his gun on himself last month in Isla Vista near the University of California in Santa Barbara.
