BRUSSELS, May 27 (Xinhua) -- A European Union (EU) spokesman said Tuesday that the next round of Iranian nuclear talks between Iran and six world powers will be held on June 16-20 in Vienna.
EU foreign policy spokesman Michael Mann told Xinhua that EU foreign policy chief Ashton has "held very long and useful discussions with Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif in order to inform the negotiations on the Iranian nuclear programme."
"They explored different possibilities as part of an ongoing process," he said.
The next formal round of E3/EU+3 (Britain, China, France, Germany, Russia, and the United States) talks with Iran will be from 16-20 June in Vienna, the spokesman said.
Mann said that in the meantime, Ashton and Zarif are recommending that an experts' meeting should take place soon, adding that other political discussions will continue as and when needed.
