ISLAMABAD, May 25 (Xinhua) -- At least seven troops were killed when some unknown militants opened fire at forces' check post in Pakistan's southwest Khuzdar district on Sunday, local media reported.
Dawn TV said that the militants targeted the check post located in Wadh area of Khuzdar, a main district in the country's southwest Balochistan province.
The check post was located in 15 km away from the downtown area and personnel from the paramilitary troops Levis were performing their duties there when the attack happened.
The attackers fled the scene after retaliatory attack by the soldiers.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
Security forces cordoned off the area for investigations.
