BEIJING, March 25 (Xinhuanet)--Rolls-Royce is best known for making engines for the world’s biggest airliners and advanced military aircraft.
They also produce low-emission power systems for ships - some of which they design themselves - make critical equipment and safety systems for the nuclear industry and, power offshore platforms and major pipelines for the oil and gas industry.
They create power providing service for over 110 countries around the world, with a global network of service centers.
Its business is built on two technology platforms, gas turbines and reciprocating engines. They power aircraft, ships and electrical generators.
History Rolls-Royce Limited is a famous English car-manufacturing company and later, aero-engine manufacturing company, co-founded by Charles Stewart Rolls and Sir Frederick Henry Royce on 15 March 1906 as the result of a partnership formed in 1904.
From 1971 to 1973, Rolls-Royce experienced its nationalization period and it was privatized in 1987 as Rolls-Royce PLC.

Chinese plane crew spots suspicious objects in search area for missing MH370
ABOARD IL-76 AIRCRAFT/CANBERRA, March 24 (Xinhua) -- The crew aboard a Chinese IL-76 plane spotted some suspicious objects in the southern Indian Ocean on Monday in search for missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 off Australia.
The crew has reported the coordinates -- 95.1113 degrees east longitude and 42.5453 south altitude -- to the Australian command center as well as Chinese icebreaker Xuelong, which was also part of the search mission and has already changed its course toward the latest sighting.Full story

Chinese military plane takes off in Australia to search for MH370
PERTH, Australia, March 24 (Xinhua) -- A Chinese military plane took off here early Monday to search for the suspicious debris of the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 in the southern Indian Ocean.
A Chinese Air Force Ilyushin IL-76 plane left RAAF Base Pearce and it will make a stop at the Perth international airport to refuel before moving out to the sea, according to a Xinhua correspondent on board.Full story
