MOSCOW, March 14 (Xinhua) -- Russia's Kremlin website has come under a massive DDoS hacker attack, a presidential spokesman said Friday.
"The attack began this morning, a very massive one," Dmitry Peskov told reporters, adding that "it is partially continuing."
He said all necessary measures have been taken to protect the president's Internet resource.
Regardless of what country the hacker attacks were from, it did not necessarily mean these countries have anything to do with them, Peskov said.
Also on Friday, the websites of the Russian Central Bank and Lenta.ru news agency have also suffered DDoS attacks.
One of Russian hacker groups has reportedly claimed responsibility for all three attacks.
On Thursday, the website of Russia's Channel One Television was temporarily down after another hacker attack.
