Japan's vice FM to visit South Korea on ties

English.news.cn   2014-03-10 19:30:22

TOKYO, March 10 (Xinhua) -- Japan's vice Foreign Minister Akitaka Saiki will pay a two-day visit to South Korea from Wednesday on bilateral ties, said Japan's Foreign Ministry Monday.

Saiki plans to hold talks with his South Korean counterpart Cho Tae-yong and other officials on bilateral relations and issues related to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Relations between the two neighbors have been frayed due to territorial disputes and Japan's attempts to whitewash its wartime wrongdoings.
