WASHINGTON, March 10 (Xinhua) -- A magnitude-6.9 earthquake struck off the coast of the U.S. state of California at 0518 GMT Monday, said the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
The epicenter, at a depth of 7 km, was located 77 km northwest of Ferndale, California.
