Thai police start to reclaim rally sites

BANGKOK, Feb. 14 (Xinhua) -- Thai police on Friday morning started to retake a couple of rally sites in the capital Bangkok, including the Democracy Monument.

Police forces were deployed to the site of protesters led by the Students and People Network for Thailand's Reform Friday morning, reported the Nation newspaper.

Police, armed with shield, started removing the first line of barriers and sandbags set up by protesters from 8:26 a.m. local time, and then demolish tents of the protesters on the Rajdamnoen Road on the Makkhawan Bridge.

Violence and clash have not yet been reported.
