WASHINGTON, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- U.S. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel on Thursday met in Washington with Jordanian King Abdullah II, reaffirming U.S. commitment to Jordan's security and the strength of bilateral relations, Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby said.
The two sides also discussed a host of regional security issues ahead of the King's meeting with U.S. President Barack Obama in California on Friday, including challenges presented by the Syrian crisis, the press official added.
