Backgrounder: Major terrorist attacks on Russia's transportation infrastructure since 2000
TASHKENT, Dec. 30 (Xinhua) -- The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) on Monday condemned the terrorist attacks in Russia, and extended its condolences to victims' families and the Russian people.
Any acts of terrorism are unjustifiable, regardless of their motivation, said a statement from the Executive Committee of the SCO's Regional Counter-Terrorism Structures (RCTS).
The RCTS would reinforce coordination with the anti-terrorism agencies of SCO's member states to jointly combat terrorism, separatism and extremism, it said.
A trolley bus in the southern Russian city of Volgograd was ripped apart by a bomb blast Monday, killing at least 15 people and injuring 27.
It came only one days after a suicide bomber struck the city's main train station, killing at least 17 people and injuring 45 others.
