MEHTARLAM, Afghanistan, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- Afghan army special operation forces launched an operation in the country's eastern province of Laghman early Friday, killing eight Taliban insurgent group members while wounding one other rebel, a provincial government spokesman said.
