BANGKOK, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- Thailand's Election Commission on Thursday morning finished the drawing of party numbers to appear on the ballot sheets in the Feb. 2 general election.
The Pheu Thai Party, headed by caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, got number 15, while the Chart Pattana Party got number 1.
Thirty out of 34 political parties that registered their party- list candidates on Monday morning and were thus eligible for the drawing took part in Thursday's drawing of ballot numbers. The other four gave up the right to the number draw.
In the morning, anti-government protesters tried to break into a Bangkok stadium where the drawing took place, and police fired teargas and rubber bullets to stop them.
