TALLINN, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- Estonia and Spain express wishes to go further with their bilateral co-operation as their two foreign ministers meet in Tallinn, the capital city of Estonia on Wednesday.

Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Paet received his visiting Spanish counterpart Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo lauding cooperation between Estonia and Spain in South America and elsewhere.

"Spain represents Estonia in issuing visas in 14 countries where Estonia does not have a representation," Paet was quoted as saying in a press release by his ministry.

Paet said that, in addition to the six existing honorary consuls in Spain, the Foreign Ministry would like to appoint another for the Basque region.

Paet and Garcia-Margallo discussed bilateral economic relations and found that there are still untapped opportunities.

"Estonia and Spain have concluded two agreements regarding buying and selling of greenhouse gas emission allowances for the purpose of implementing environmentally friendly programs.

Security was also on the agenda as Spain is one of the founding members of the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defense Center of Excellence and has taken part in the Baltic air defense program.
