NEW DELHI, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- The death toll in the serial bomb attacks in the eastern Indian Pana Sunday has risen to five, while over 25 others were injured, said local TV channel Times Now.
TV footage showed smoke was rising at a rally site of the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) where the party prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi was making s speech to thousands of supporters in the state capital of Bihar.
Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has called Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar and vowed to make a full investigation into the blasts. A National Investigation Agency team is also going to the spot to investigate.
The serial blasts included one blast at a railway station, one outside a movie theater and one at the rally site.
