BRUSSELS, July 3 (Xinhua) -- Belgium's King Albert II will make a televised address to the nation, local media reports said on Wednesday.
The speech spurred intense speculation that the 79-year-old king will announce to abdicate, possibly on the country's national day of July 21, according to local media reports.
Some local newspapers even claimed that the king will announce his resignation, reportedly quoting government sources.
