KABUL, May 16 (Xinhua) -- The number of the death of the suicide attack that hit Afghan capital Kabul on Thursday morning reached to six people and 35 others sustained injuries, a statement of Kabul police released here confirmed.
"The suicide attack carried out by terrorists this morning in Kabul claimed the lives of six civilians and injured 35 others majority of them children," the statement added.
In the suicide attack apparently targeted a convoy of NATO-led forces in Shah Shahid locality of Kabul city at around 08:00 a.m. local time several houses, shops and cars at nearby were also damaged, the statement went on to say.
According to locals at the site, some foreign soldiers were also killed and injured in the blast.
Meantime, a spokesman of NATO-led forces when approached by Xinhua confirmed the attack, but noted details will be released after investigation.
