CAIRO, May 7 (Xinhua) -- Nine new Egyptian ministers sworn in Tuesday before President Mohamed Morsi at the presidency headquarters, state Nile TV reported.
A cabinet reshuffle of 9 ministers was announced Tuesday including those of petroleum, justice, finance, parliamentary affairs, antiquities, agriculture, planning and international cooperation, culture and investment.
The new ministers included some affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group such as new Petroleum Minister Sherif Hadara, an engineer believed to have close ties with the Muslim Brotherhood and new Planning and International Cooperation Minister Amr Darrag, senior member of MB's political arm the Freedom and Justice Party.
CAIRO, May 7 (Xinhua) -- Egyptian opposition criticized on Tuesday the cabinet reshuffle, terming the move as a further step towards more Islamist domination of the government ahead of the upcoming parliamentary elections, which is expected to be held in October.Full story
