STOCKHOLM, April 19 (Xinhua) -- Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt on Friday met with Lithuania's Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius for discussions around Lithuania's preparations for EU (European Union) presidency in the autumn of 2013.
"We have had long discussions regarding the upcoming Lithuanian EU presidency, which is of course related very much to the ongoing discussions on the economy in Europe, on the transformation of economies and trouble part of Europe," said Fredrik Reinfeldt at the joint press meet.
The Swedish prime minister added that during the Lithuanian EU presidency there would be an initiative link to increasing the need of eastern partnership.
The discussions also included bilateral issues between Sweden and Lithuania.
"We have excellent bilateral relations between our two countries. Sweden is in fact the biggest investor into the Lithuanian economy so we are very much linked together,"said Reinfeldt.
