TRIPOLI, April 9 (Xinhua) -- Egypt's Chief of Staff Sedki Sobhi on Tuesday met here with his Libyan counterpart Yousef al-Mangoush to discuss means to boost military cooperation between the two neighbors.

In a press statement following the meeting, al-Mangoush said the cooperation will cover such areas as training and providing technical support, as Libya believes that the Egyptian army is qualified enough in various fields.

Sobhi arrived earlier in the day in Tripoli for a two-day visit, during which he will meet with Libyan Defense Minister Mohammad Barghati, head of Libya's General National Congress Mohammed al- Maqrif, as well as Libyan Prime Minister Ali Zaidan.

Sobhi is also set to visit a number of military colleges and bases in Libya.
