ISLAMABAD, March 19 (Xinhua) -- Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari will be visiting Ashgabat on Wednesday at the invitation of Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, state radio reported Tuesday.
Radio Pakistan quoted Pakistan's Ambassador to Turkmenistan Tasadduq Hussain as saying that President Zardari will participate in annual Nauroz Spring festival in Turkmenistan.
He said that heads of state and government of ten other countries, including Iran and Tajikistan, are also visiting Ashgabat on this occasion.
The Ambassador said that the visit will further consolidate Pakistan's historic cultural and religious relations with the Central Asian state.
