KIEV, March 19 (Xinhua) -- Two children died early Tuesday in a fire which broke out at a private house in eastern Ukraine, authorities said.
The blaze started around midnight, when the family were asleep in their home in Donetsk region, the State Service for Emergencies said.
The boys, aged 7 and 3, got trapped inside their room, when the fire broke out. Both children died at the scene, while their mother and an infant brother survived and were taken to hospital with burns.
Dozens of firefighters worked more than two hours to extinguish the fire, which completely destroyed the house.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
