WASHINGTON, March 15, (Xinhua) -- A small plane on Friday afternoon crashed near a South Florida airport and came down at a nearby parking lot, which left several cars charred at the scene, casualties remain unknown, local media reported.
Local officials told CNN the two-engine plane crashed at the warehouse area near the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport, in the U.S. state of Florida.
Fort Lauderdale fire rescue has been responding to the plane crash and the fire, and the flames were put out at the scene.
It appears that the plane crashed on the side of a building and came down at the parking lot, with many cars left charred, reported the local WSVN TV.
It remains unknown whether there are any injuries at this time.
