GENEVA, March 12 (Xinhua) -- The main building of the World Trade Organization (WTO) was partially evacuated Tuesday due to a "suspicious vehicle" that parked outside the building, but staff has returned to work after the police checked the vehicle, said a WTO spokesperson.
Xu Ankai told Xinhua that at around 12:55 (1155 GMT), security guards of the WTO headquarters detected a suspicious vehicle outside the main building and could not make sure what was inside.
WTO then evacuated part of its staff for security reasons. They have gone back to work after local police with a sniffer dog gave it all-clear.
There wasn't any "bomb threat" received by the WTO, Xu said.
