KIEV, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) -- Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych appointed Tuesday two new ministers for the ministries of culture and industrial policy, the presidential press-service said.
Yanukovych appointed ex-Deputy Head of Kiev State Administration Leonid Novohatko as minister of culture and the former board chairman of the Southern mining and processing plant in eastern Dnepropetrovsk region Mikhaylo Korolenko as minister of industrial policy.
Novohatko, 59, Doctor of History, professor, honored scientist of Ukraine, has served as first deputy chief of the Ukrainian state-run news agency "Ukrinform" in 2007-2010.
Korolenko, 50, the member of Dnipropetrovsk regional council, was awarded the title Hero of Ukraine in 2012 for his "outstanding contribution to the development of the domestic mining and metallurgical complex".
Members of Ukraine's new cabinet led by Prime Minister Mykola Azarov took oath on Dec. 24, 2012. The old cabinet quit on Dec. 3.
