KABUL, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- All six suicide bombers who targeted a compound of National Directorate for Security (NDS) or intelligence agency in the Afghan capital Kabul were killed on Wednesday, police said in a statement released here.
"A six-member group of suicide attackers raided a compound of NDS in Charahi area of Kabul city at around noon today, bur fortunately five of them were gunned down by security personal and the remaining one died in his blast," the statement added.
According to the statement, one of the attackers first blew himself up next to the gate of NDS compound enabling five comrades to enter inside but the security personnel at nearby responded immediately, killing all the five on the spot. The first attacker was killed in his blast.
However, 30 civilians mostly passersby at nearby were injured, some of them in critical condition, the statement asserted.
Several shops and cars at nearby were also damaged due to the blast, the statement added.
