KABUL, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- A powerful blast rocked Afghan capital Kabul on Wednesday leaving over a dozen people dead and injured, an eye witness said.
"I have seen four people dead and at least eight others injured laying on the ground," an eye witness at the site who declined to be identified told Xinhua.
The blast presumably a suicide car bomb took place near to a compound of intelligence agency and interior ministry had also smashed windowpanes of several shops at nearby.
Meantime, Interior Ministry spokesman Sediq Sediqi confirmed the incident saying it happened in Charahi Sadarat in downtown Kabul city but said it is too early to provide details.
Xinhua's reporter at the site of the incident also saw at least five dead bodies and several injured who were taken to hospital.
