BEIJING, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- Thursday marked a bloody day for Pakistan as four blasts rocked the country, leaving at least 116 people killed and 235 others injured.
Out of the four blasts, three hit Quetta, capital city of Pakistan's southwest Balochistan Province bordering Afghanistan and Iran, while another hit a preaching center in the country's northwest district of Swat.
The following is a list of major bombing attacks in Pakistan last year:
Jan. 10: At least 26 people have been killed and 52 others injured in a bomb attack in Pakistan's northwest tribal area. Pakistani Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Jan. 15: At least 18 people were killed and over 30 injured when a bomb blast hit a Shiite religious procession in eastern Pakistani province of Punjab.
Feb. 17: At least 36 people were killed and over 40 others were injured in a suicide blast that hit a mosque in Pakistan's northwest tribal area of Kurram Agency which borders Afghanistan.
Feb. 23: At least 15 people were killed and over 30 others injured when a bomb hit a bus stop in Pakistan's northwest city of Peshawar.
March 2: At least 23 people were killed and some 20 others injured in a suicide bomb blast in Pakistan's northwestern tribal area of Khyber Agency.
March 11: A bomber killed at least 13 people and injured more than 30 in a funeral near the northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar.
May 4: At least 20 people were killed and over 40 others injured in a suicide attack that hit a market area in Pakistan's northwest tribal area of Bajaur Agency.
June 16: At least 25 people were killed and over 45 others injured when a bomb ripped through a busy market in Pakistan's northwest tribal area of Khyber Agency.
June 27: At least 10 people were killed and over 30 others injured as a blast hit a railway station in Pakistan's southwest city of Sibi.
June 28: At least 20 people were killed and 25 others injured when a roadside bomb hit a passenger bus in Pakistan's southwestern province of Balochistan.
Sept. 10: At least 10 people were killed and over 40 others injured when a remote-controlled car bomb blast hit Pakistan's northwest city Parachinar.
Sept. 19: At least 10 people were killed and 22 others injured as a bomb hit a passenger van in Pakistan's northwest city of Peshawar.
Oct. 11: At least 11 people including three security personnel were killed and over 20 others injured when two blasts hit Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province.
Oct. 13: At least 15 people were killed and 17 others injured when a suicide car bomb ripped through a market in Pakistan's northwest town of Dera Adamkhel.
Nov. 21: Up to 23 people were killed while 53 others got injured in a suicide bombing that hit a Shiite Muslims procession in Pakistan's northern city of Rawalpindi.
Dec. 15: At least 10 people were killed and over 40 others injured when an airport in Pakistan's northwest city of Peshawar came under attack by militants.
Dec. 17: A blast went off at a bus stand in Pakistan's northwest town of Jamrud, killing at least 17 people and injuring 45 others.
