HONG KONG, Jan.5 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale jolted Ryukyu Islands, Japan at 04:11:53 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 39.10 km, was initially determined to be at 28.7359 degrees north latitude and 128.5802 degrees east longitude.
