ANKARA, Jan. 3 (Xinhua) -- Three Libyan policemen undergoing training in Turkey's Istanbul were found dead Wednesday night in an apartment in the city due to an apparent gas leak, private Dogan news agency reported Thursday morning.

The three were identified as Ramzi Salem Gadmour, 28, Abu Menair Embarek, 25, and Salem Mohammed, 33, according to the report.

The Libyans died just a day after five Afghan citizens who came to Istanbul in search of jobs were killed in a gas poisoning in Zeytinburnu district.
