ISLAMABAD, Dec. 30 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan Taliban have killed 21 security personnel kidnapped by them during an attack on a checkpoint in NW Pakistan several days ago, reported local media Geo on Sunday.
The dead bodies of the killed have been found in the Hassan Khel area near Peshawar, said the report, adding that all of them were shot dead.
Pakistan Taliban have claimed responsibility for the killing of the 21 kidnapped security personnel, it said.
On late Wednesday night, an estimated 30 heavily armed Taliban militants launched an attack on two checkpoints south of Peshawar, killing two security personnel, wounding another and kidnapping 23 others.
Two of the kidnapped security personnel later escaped from Taliban custody, said local media.
ISLAMABAD, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan on Thursday rejected as unacceptable a conditional truce offer by the Taliban and said the armed militant groups cannot dictate the state, local media reported.
Local media reported that the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan or the TTP has hinted at a cease-fire with the Pakistani government on condition that Pakistan should end participation in the Afghan war, reshape the foreign policy and the country's Constitution in accordance to the Islamic Sharia. ISLAMABAD, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- At least two security personnel were killed, one security person was injured and 22 others kidnapped during an attack by unknown militants on a checkpost in Pakistan's northwest Darra Adam Khel area, reported local media Geo on Thursday.
The report quoted unidentified security sources as saying that the attack took place in the previous night and an estimated 30 militants were involved in the attack. Full story
