DAMASCUS, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) -- A blast struck al-Hajar al-Aswad suburb of the Syrian capital Damascus on Monday, leaving many killed or injured, the state-run SANA news agency said.
The "terrorist" blast, SANA said, resulted in an undisclosed number of casualties, including women and children.
The blast came just hours after a deadly explosion that hit Damascus' suburb of Jaramana, in which at least 10 people had been killed.
Later in the evening, a sound bomb resounded in Damascus' district of Eimarieh near a garden where children were playing, but caused no damages.
