JERUSALEM, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- The Israel Air Force struck three targets in the Gaza Strip overnight Friday, said a statement released Saturday by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Spokesman's Office.
The attack was the latest of tit-for-tat exchange of fire between Israeli forces and militants in the Gaza Strip, ruled by the Hamas movement.
Earlier Friday, Palestinian militants fired from the Gaza Strip a Grad rocket into the southern Israeli town of Netivot, which exploded in the backyard of a house but caused no injuries.
The Israeli military said in its statement that "the IDF will not tolerate any attempt to harm Israeli citizens and IDF soldiers will continue to take action against any party that perpetrates terrorist attacks against Israel."
The statement blamed Hamas for the rocket attack.
