MADRID, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) -- Two aircraft were involved in a collision while on the ground at Madrid's Barajas airport on Saturday afternoon, without casualties reported.
The incident occurred between an Air Europe with 297 passengers bound for the Venezuelan capital, Caracas and an aircraft from the Iberworld airline with 384 passengers travelling to Cancun in Mexico.
The incident, which happened around 16:10 local time (1410 GMT), took place at Terminal 1 at the airport and sources said it was provoked when the Air Europe flight was being pushed back from its station and its tail collided with the wing of the Iberworld flight.
The damage to both planes is said to be "light", and the 681 passengers were able to disembark without reported injuries.
