ANKARA, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) -- A single-engined training plane of Turkish Aeronautical Association crashed in Izmir province in western Turkey on Saturday, private Dogan news agency reported.
One pilot was killed and another injured when the Cessna 172- type TC-CBI registered aircraft took off from Izmir Efes Airport and crashed in the mountainous area in Odemis town of Izmir province, according to the report.
Rescue teams were dispatched to the spot, said the report, adding that an investigation into this incident was underway.
