JAKARTA, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) -- A wooden ship with 52 people on board sank in waters of Indonesia on Friday evening, killing two people, Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, spokesman of the national disaster management and mitigation agency said.
The newly-made ship sank during a test for sail in waters off Palue town of East Nusa Tenggara after it was hit by huge waves, Sutoppo told Xinhua by phone.
Fortunately, the rest 50 people were rescued by local sailors, the agency stuff and volunteers, he said.
