TOKYO, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- None of the five candidates vying for the presidency of Japan's main opposition Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) clinched a majority of votes in the initial round of a dead heat contest at the party headquarters here Wednesday afternoon.
A second round run-off between the top two will take place later in the day with former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe facing off against ex-Defense Minister Shigeru Ishiba.
