TEHRAN, Sept. 23 (Xinhua) -- Iran's judiciary has detained the daughter of Iran's former president Akbar Hashemi-Rafsanjani, the official IRNA news agency reported on Sunday.
Faezeh Hashemi was detained late Saturday to serve her sentence of imprisonment, the report cited Tehran's Revolution and General Prosecutor's Office as saying.
The daughter of Hashemi-Rafsanjani had already been sentenced to six month in jail and a ban from political activities for five years on charges of spreading propaganda against the Islamic republic.
