TEHRAN, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- Iranian Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi said Friday that the Islamic republic will not let countries with economic or military power impose their will on the Middle East states, Press TV reported.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran is trying to make these countries understand that they cannot do whatever they want in the area of international political developments," Salehi was quoted as saying.
The time that they could determine governments for other countries has long passed, said the Iranian foreign minister, referring to the West and its regional allies who pressure the Syrian government to resign.
Salehi noted that the Islamic republic does not allow such erroneous trends to take shape outside the framework of international conventions, rules and concepts, according to the report.
