YANGON, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) -- The Myanmar government Monday granted amnesty to 514 more prisoners including foreigners, according to an announcement of the Ministry of Information.
The prisoners will be freed from various jails across the country under Section-401, according to an order signed by President U Thein Sein.
The move is taken out of consideration of gaining stability, eternal peace and national consolidation of the country as well as out of humanitarian grounds, the announcement said.
