CAIRO, Sept. 4 (Xinhua) -- Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi will hold a meeting in Cairo with his Palestinian counterpart Mahmoud Abbas Thursday over mutual relations and recent developments in the Palestinian territories, said Palestinian ambassador Barakat al-Farra to Egypt on Tuesday.

Abbas will arrive in Cairo Wednesday night in a two-day visit to meet Arab foreign ministers. He will inform them about the latest conditions in Palestine and the results of the investigation over the death of late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat, Farra added at a press conference quoted by official news agency MENA.

He stressed the importance of the visit that will come before the meeting of the UN General Assembly, where Abbas is due to deliver a speech about the Palestinian people's right to establish an independent state.

Also, Morsi will deliver a speech Wednesday before the opening session of the Arab foreign ministers meeting at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo, said presidency spokesman Yasser Ali.
