BISHKEK, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- The Social Democratic Party of Kyrgyzstan (SDPK) received a mandate from the president on Monday to establish a ruling coalition in parliament.
Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev mandated the SDPK party to establish a majority coalition, which should consist of five parties and be founded within 15 working days.
It was the second time that Social Democrats received the right to form a coalition, following a similar mandate last December that ended up with a broken coalition.
After receiving the mandate, the SDPK's parliamentary group leader Chynybai Tursunbekov held consultations on forming a new ruling coalition later on Monday.
Ar Namys parliamentary group leader Felix Kulov said they would not mind that a representative of the Social Democrats be elected as the premier only if the Social Democrats could lead the republic out of the crisis.
There are five factions in the Kyrgyz parliament - Ata Zhurt( Motherland), the Social Democrats, Ar Namys, Respublika(Republic) and Ata Meken.
