NEW DELHI, Aug. 18 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari has donated 1 million U.S. dollars to a famous Islamic shrine in western India, which he visited during a private trip to India earlier this year, said local daily The Times of India on Saturday.
The distribution of the promised donation to the dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti in Ajmer of Rajasthan state by Pakistan president finally "came to fruition" on Friday, said the report.
The donation will be divided among three groups managing the shrine, which was the tomb of a 12th century Muslim saint, according to the report.
